Individual Educational Plans for students with disabilities

If your child meets the criteria for a specific learning disability or medical diagnosis, they will be provided with an Individual Educational Plan.  All necessary staff will have access to the student's file and plan to ensure their educational goals are being targeted.

Family Engagement Events

We love to involve our families! Each quarter, we provide multiple opportunities for you to join your child on campus during cultural celebrations, workshops, holiday parties, and community outreach events.

Consistent Communication

We believe in clear and effective communication. You will be provided with weekly newsletters, school and class specific emails, as well as available office hours to speak directly to you child's teacher. We also hold parent-teacher conferences quarterly and upon parent or teacher request.

An example of how we collaborate with families: The child's teacher may provide a daily home-note to communicate the student's daily behaviors, observations or concerns. The teacher may request that the parent sign the folder daily to ensure they have staying up to date on their child's progress.

Collaboration with team members & staff

Your child's education and emotional well-being are highly important to us. Our teachers, therapists, caseworkers, and administrators hold regular meetings to collaborate and discover new ways to intentionally and effectively reach our students.

An example of how our team collaborates: For those students who are struggling to meet behavioral goals, your child's teacher may collaborate with the SLP to create social stories and target behavior-specific vocabulary within the student's daily routine to encourage positive behaviors and interactions.
